Excel Management Tool

HIGH LEVEL REQUIREMENTS: We require an excel worksheet to manage investors, our assets and their [login to view URL] tool also needs to produce regular reporting using templates that we can amend or add to from time to time. All the data analysis needs to be done in excel so does not require any development other than providing a series of clickable buttons that invokes the excel functions (either data anlaysis/charts/etc.) The analaysiscould include: what if analysis,forecasting, etc. The worksheet needs to blend Ezcel with VB in order to mask the usage of Excel (forms), except when accessing the records in their source location which needs to be isolated and controlled in dedicated sheets that allows any manual maintenance in the event of any failure of the development.  The worksheet needs to identify all phases of the transaction lifecycle from Application through to Reporting. These phases includes: a. Application (capture client static data and record the status of the applicant in particular: Prospect/Applied/Verified, etc. (if Verified then a unique alpha-numeric number must be allocated) b. Registration: Post Verification and Confirmation of payment: Unregistered/Registered (if Registered then a unique alpha-numeric number must be allocated) c. Custody: Unconfirmed/Confirmed (if Confirmed then a unique alpha-numeric number must be allocated) d. Static and General Data Management (all data must be based on configurable fields that allows the administrator to add/remove/amend fields as required. Fields must either be Mandatory or Optional where Mandatory requires appropriate data. All searchable or numeric fields requires verifiable data in a predetermined format.  e. Asset Valuation (a predetermined frequency validated against separately definable fields that determine the format of the verifiable data) f. Unit Pricing (please see Unit Pricing section below) g. Redemptions (Redemptions must be done in a manner that firstly validates the degree of entitlement to redeem, as well as the cycle within which to redeem. A redemption request must be entered (status is Pending), it then requires validation (status Validated), then has to be approved (status Approved). Once approved it must be paid in the next possible cycle, prior to the setting of the unit price for the next cycle) h. Accounting (Accrual accounting. Refer Abed for specifics) i. Reporting (Required reports include:                 1) Monthly Management Reports                       i) Project vs Fund vs Group vs Consolidated (Organisational structure reporting)                       ii) Changes to Unit Prices for this period (before/after)                       iii) Total units issued/redeemed/circulated                       iv) Total number of investors (unique and investments)    2) Performance Reports (tba)  3) Accounting Reports (refer Abed) 4) Compliance Reports (tba) 5) Other Reports UNIT PRICING: This has to be a tightly controlled part of the IMT. The main input is the valuation of each asset within each project, rolled up into one project value.  Therefore, there has to be an area where we can create assets and projects. Moody importantly,  the formula for determining Unit price MUST be completely variable based on  a number of fields as and input value that is also customisable. The Unit price section therefore all consist of a field that dictates the number of variables and also names those variables (e g/ units issued, asset valuation,  allowable deductions, etc.).  There are some areas that will require more in-depth discussion with the successful excel developer.
