help with referral issues

I have excluded my domain from showing up in referral traffic. I have a domain and subdomain and according to Google I don't need to set up anything special to properly record over the two but, I'm showing high numbers of referral traffic from my own domain. I want to either set it up properly or block it. I did go into admin to block #'s from my own domain but they're still reporting? Stumped!
