Skilled iOS developer required to write an iPad application. We would like to create an iOS application that retrieves data from a mySQL database and saves it to the iPad. The backend is 80% complete and is made in PHP and mySQL. I will provide the design for the app. This would be the apps use case: The user logs in from the iPad app. Once logged in he can see his work orders that have been assigned to him. These are then downloaded locally to the device. The user chooses one of the work orders and starts to fill out the information, the information includes: Taking Photos, Scanning Barcodes, Inserting Text and checking buttons. (all of this should be able to be done locally without a constant internet connection) Once this is all done the user presses complete and saves the work order. When the user is able to connect to WIFI he presses sync work orders and the orders that have been filled on the iPad are synched to the mySQL database on the server and set as complete. Would have no problem if this app was a hybrid using Phonegap or something similar if it has all the functionality requested. The most important part of the application is the ability to be able to work on an order without WIFI and update it once the user has WIFI. Hello, One of the preferred freelancer in iOS category and a apple platform developer here. Now as per your project, it seems pretty straight forward. You need a app-based solution for managing work orders, whose backend is a MySQL database server, right ? And additionaly, you want the app to work in offline mode and sync FROM and TO the server to get new work orders and send completed work orders when WIFI is available. For this, I will also create a php based REST API as a interface between the app and database, this way, you can scale your backend, order forms and the app itself whenever needed from the API, without needing to make changes in app. It is also more secure this way than directly connecting to a database server in a app. Just to confirm, the users (login details) will be available and managed by the backend database, right ? Also, how many different kinds of order forms would there be ?
