JavaScript Modify on Joomla site

I hired a programmer to write a script for my movie site, that it could copy content from other movie sites, and add into my joomla based website, each movie as an item in K2. Overall it working good, but there are some problem, that is there is some movies that the script will skip to copy. and the script are able to copy all information, but after it finished the movie copys, I lose contact with the programmer, but I still need it to copy the TV show information. But I dont know how to modify it to do so. thus I need another programmer to modify it a bit, let it could be working properly(it working really well now, but need some modify). example, it could working well on find infor and add to my site, but I want a new function like check whether it is already in my site, then it could choose to add or not, just like this. I need someone is really good at this, and could done it quickly.
