Create touchscreen game controls for mame emulator that is running on a webiste -- 2

I'm trying to create mame game controls for touch screen devices such as tablets and iphones. At the moment I have the mame emulator running through emularity but I can't get the emularity/mame to pickup events such as a button press that is on the screen. Buttons to add credits.
