write some javascript code

I need a few lines of javascript code that will activate a keyup event for a website I am trying to screen scrape / data mine. The problem is that the search function does not work unless a keyup event is activated. All I need is a few lines of javascript code that will allow me to search by Parcel ID without physically pressing any keys.
