Joomla Site Help

I have a site for a client built in Joomla and need help making some changes to it. Change #1 - They have a database (Directory) of suppliers listed (currently in Mosets Tree), setup by my original provider. I would like to change the way thie information is displayed to make it easier for me to admin (add/edit/delete) and for the members (users) of the site to view, sort, and search for the suppliers and their offers. The suppliers should appear in an alphabetical list with various columns, and the list would be sortable by any column heading. When the supplier name is clicked on the full listing detail will show up on a separate page. The way this is setup now makes it tedious to add new suppliers and edit them. It would be best if I could upload from Excel (CSV) or something like that, and make changes that way too. ** I am open to ideas and before choosing the winning bid, I would like to see samples of how you will make this work. ** Change #2 - I need simple help on editing some of the pages and updating the site. I have basic basic knowledge of Joomla but since I dont use it often I dont know how to make the changes I need, and I need help.
