I am seeking a skilled individual or team to help process a large volume of dead Lithium Ion batteries and recover Lithium metal in the purest form. Our technology allows us to handle any number of batteries, so quantities won't be an issue. The goal of the project is to successfully extract as much Lithium metal from the batteries as possible. Requirements: - Strong background in material sciences/chemical processing. - Experience in handling Lithium Ion batteries. - Knowledge of safety measures when handling dead batteries. - Robust techniques for efficient Lithium extraction. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in Lithium Ion battery processing and Lithium extraction techniques. In addition, a focus on safety, efficiency and high-quality results is crucial.

A process is provided that comprises (A) preparing a mass from one or more lithium ion batteries, wherein the mass comprises one or more selected from the group consisting of lithium, cobalt, nickel, manganese, iron, aluminum, and any combination of two or more of the foregoing; (B) contacting the mass with an acid to form a combination; (C) contacting the combination with a reducing agent so as to form an acid leachate, wherein the reducing agent comprises sodium thiosulfate; (D) adjusting the pH of the acid leachate so as to form a precipitate comprising aluminum; and (E) extracting from the acid leachate one or more selected from the group consisting of lithium, cobalt, nickel, manganese, iron, aluminum, and any combination of two or more of the foregoing
