This proposal makes the following assumptions: 1) You have the source code for the Device Communications Servers (DCS) for the OpenGTS side. The code to handle the SMS commands will need to be added to them. This is done for the most part in the XML used to configure the OpenGTS installation and the DCS's 2) Your local machine which will be used for the Kannel installation has a static IP address and is online all the time. 3) I have root access to both of the iCloud and your local machine so I can compile, build / deploy the source and restart services as required. An account on the iCloud server that uses sudo will work provided I have access to the utilities & services I need 4) Your mobile modem has an active SIM card with a paid account. Also note: - Kannel is written in C where is most of the work will be done. - Yes, OpenGTS is written in Java but most of the work with that will be in the XML configuration files. - I do not foresee any MySQL work required for the project.
