I can write an application/service which will synchronise (I hope this is only one way from master to slave which is less complecated) on given interval. ex: every 1min.

Hi It depends of the MYSQL versions, there are built in capabilities for replication. Seperate tables can be replicated and entire DB too. Without scheduled downtime this isn't possible to activate the replication.
