Hello, I am an experienced sysadmin and developer (currently working as Information Security Admin in a large company in latin america) that has been in charge of many linux and windows servers and currently have 4 personal linux servers up and running with 99.9% uptime, running CentOS and debian. I've set up complex networking solutions with VPNs (both LAN-to-LAN and point-to-point), strange bridging requirements, and once had to wrestle an old version of checkpoint VPN-1 that did not like to share it's conenction to connect to a client's system for a LAN-to-LAN bridge that had to run inside a CentOS virtual machine on top of a windows system in a DMZ. I've done sysadmin and netadmin work for companies where I mostly used virtualized KVM machines, but currently work in a fully virtualized VMWare ESX environment where I have complete access to the ESX management console and routinely make use of it. I've worked all levels of tech support before becoming a developer, have great people skills and know how to find the root issue quickly. I've managed Linux and Windows server for over four years and know how to set up new Active Directory environments, hook into an existing one, set up failover nodes, set up Exchange with multiple nodes, IIS, etc. On the linux side I've worked with apache and nginx, set up samba4 environments (for AD replacement), set up complex proxy/load balancing rules (with either squid or haproxy), and set up Clustered File System storage farms.
