Through server change and newer versions of perl, mysql 2 custom made scripts stopped to work. Task: - either fix the scripts or rewrite them - create the mysql db, structure required is known create table inquiries ( t int, firstname varchar(32), lastname varchar(32), address1 varchar(32), address2 varchar(32), state varchar(32), zip varchar(10), city varchar(32), country varchar(3), tel varchar(64), fax varchar(64), email varchar(255), interested varchar(255), notes text, ipaddress varchar(15)); The error about the scripts is this: [Mon Dec 20 03:32:15 2004] [error] 7429: ModPerl::Registry: Can't use string ("0") as a HASH ref while "strict refs" in use at /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.3/i386-linux-thread-multi/[login to view URL] line 514.\n Which means as far as i understand that the script is not complaint with the "strict refs" pragma activated by default. There are two options: 1. Turn off the pragma if possible. 2. Amend scripts to comply with the strict refs rule. I'd prefer the second one. But that should be done by vendor.
