There is this open src project phpmyerd.org.
It works but especially the javascript inside is too difficult.
I want classes that have a special purpose.
This is because I think object oriented programming is very useful.
Some time ago I read in a book about "separation of concerns" and MVC.
Now php and javascript work on the same things.
You might say: there is separation because javascript works in the browser and PHP on the server.
That is true but anyway I need someone to tidy up php and javascript.
Please suggest what you want to do.
If you see something we can get rid of but still have the same functionality I will be very pleased. I like programmers who find unnecessary lines of code.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Programmers,
you are right. I need to clarify a little bit what I need. The project [login to view URL] was meant as a basis for a some other projects. But I am used to object oriented programming. And object oriented programming uses inheritance and base classes. The project is far away from being object oriented. One problem is the javascript <-> php problem. See above.
What I expect is: you suggest what needs to be done to make things object oriented here.
Are there best practices, design patterns, libs that we can apply?
It there a way to find a base class that we can call
"moveable"
I want to derive the class "table" from "moveable".
This should result in a moveable table.
Is it possible and good to go this way? Say loud "no" if you disagree.
