Odds comparison: PHP script to convert XML-feed to output

We are currently a? seeking talented coder for the first stages of a new, and ambitious, sportsbetting odds-mining and -comparison? website. Altough we plan to do a lot of work "in-house", some parts will be offered elsewhere. We prefer a coder with previous experience into sportsbetting and exchange related projects, who is familiar with the terminology. This first assignment is actually quite a simple project. We will provide an XML-feed to the coder, and ask this coder to write a (preferably PHP)-script that will turn the XML-data into clean output that can be inserted into a MySQL-database. This task is obviously not very complex, and should take very little time, but is merely meant as a small? pilot project. We very much want the focus of the coder to be on the speed and efficiency of the script. Data should be retrieved from the feed? as fast as possible. The same task might be offered to several coders at once and might also be offered elsewhere. All coders that are selected by us will obviously be compensated for their efforts, but the coder that comes up with the best solution will definitely be our topchoice for similar or other related much bigger assignments in the future. The script? should scan all feeds listed here (all listed feeds are designed similarlly, at the time of writing six subfeeds are listed, but this number might differ from time to time, the feed should pick all subfeeds at any time). Output should look like: (possible unknown terms to the coder are selfexplanatory in the XML-feed. All data are available in the XML-feed under their own header, so should be easy to retrieve.
