a niche Social Network

-WARNING It completely depends on what kind of bids we get how fast we can start payment and development. We mainly want to know how much this is going to cost us. If we get a good bid we can start development soon, but if it turns out more expensive than we thought, it might take a while longer. We are looking for a developer to make a social networking website aimed at car owners and enthusiasts. We started working on this ourselves in Ruby on Rails, but it turned out to be way too complicated for our skillset. Any language capable of making a social network (PHP/RoR/Node.js) is acceptable. We have a front end designer on board, so this is mainly about the back end of the site. We desire good communication in understandable English (please add the word 'Cheesecake' in your bid, so we can 'weed out' auto-bidders) and at least weekly updates on the progress, with the right for us to share screenshots or other signs of progress on our social network accounts. We will provide more detail when you respond, but here are the basic functionalities we require on our social network: -Register and login -Login with / import friends from Facebook -Search for and add friends -User can fill in details about himself and upload a profile picture -User can choose language (translation is our concern, of course. It has to be translation-ready) -User has different privacy options -Timeline with every update from user's friends -User can add vehicles to his 'garage' -User can fill in lots of details -User can add a 'profile picture' for each car -User can add albums and photos to each car -User can add changes he makes to his car to the car's profile -User can pick a category for these changes (addition/repair/removal etc.) -User can add small description and a picture to these updates -Site will keep track of these updates, sorted by date (<- car history) -These changes will pop up in the user's friends' timeline -User will have a profile page that will display his personal info and his 'garage' -User can post 'status updates' with no character limits -User can add a picture to these updates -User can tag friends and cars from his garage in these posts -User can post on profiles of friends -User can choose to automatically share on Facebook and/or Twitter -User can create an event -User can fill in details (location, time etc.) -User can easily join an event -When joining, user has to pick a car from his garage -Event page will show list of people going and which cars they are taking -Users can post on the event page -User can create a group -User can fill in details (description, profile picture) -User can set privacy settings for group (anyone can join / admin has to approve) -Back end admin panel -Secure website able to withstand most kinds of attacks -SEO We would prefer this to be built from the ground up, and not on some kind of existing framework, because we fear these would limit our possibilities.
