Woo commerce download customization

I am looking to use this plugin to add downloadable documents to my products: [login to view URL] The issue is I only want customers to be able to download the documents AFTER they have purchased the product. So before the purchase it it should just give them a message saying they need to purchase the product first. The plug in developers recommended to use this function to make this change, as it makes it easy to check who's purchased the item based on their email: [login to view URL] Alternatively if you could figure out a way to utilize the built in woo commerce download feature without needing the plug in above that would be ideal. I just need to be able to organize my files into 3-5 categories.
