Migrate SugarCRM Pro (v7.7.2.0) to SuiteCRM (v7.7.9) by End of April 2017

My client needs their SugarCRM Pro (version 7.7.2.0) data migrated to SuiteCRM (version 7.7.9+). They also need their reports, workflows, user roles, and WebToForm integrations set up again at SuiteCRM as well as anything else that might be broken. I'm looking for someone that has done this before and has experience setting up, configuring, using, and maintaining both systems. After the migration a lot of their features (reports, workflows, user roles, custom fields, etc.) will likely need to be fixed or recreated so you should have experience with all of SuiteCRM's features. The client may also need custom development for any SugarCRM features that don't exist within SuiteCRM however I would prefer to help them find workarounds rather than use custom development to fix every shortfall. They will need occasional support after the migration for at least 90 days and then probably ad-hoc support and maintenance. The power users already have questions about how to do things in the new system so I need someone that is able to answer them via email and provide well-written instructions with screenshots or videos. Occasional phone support may also be a possibility. Here are the specs from their hosted SugarCRM install: 53 Users 685 Accounts, 1 Custom Field 761 Contacts 912,034 Leads with 121 Custom Fields 681 Opportunities with 1 Custom Field 416,555 Tasks 448 Calls 11,947 Emails 5,424 Meetings 13,228 Total Notes (7,741 notes with attachments) We have access to their SugarCRM backups if that makes the transition easier. During the final cut-over there will need to be one last synchronization to ensure that all of the data has been copied.

Hi, I am a certified SugarCRM developer and a PHP programmer. I have experience working on both SugarCRM and SuiteCRM, including migration to and from both. I would be able to migrate their SugarCRM Pro version to SuiteCRM. I can re-develop any customizations that was done to SugarCRM, but cannot be migrated directly. I can create the reports and workflows in SuiteCRM, as these modules in SuiteCRM are incompatible with the SugarCRM ones. Regards, Sreekumar

Hi, Hope you're doing good! My name is Nikhil Sharma and I'm a SugarCRM consultant. I've been working on SugarCRM since the last 8 years. I have done quite a lot of project migrations to SugarCRM/SuiteCRM from various other CRMs and platforms. This is how I plan to execute this project: 1) Export data from Sugar Pro. 2) Setup a local development instance where we will perform the migration. 3) Add all the custom fields from Sugar to SuiteCRM. 4) Import data in SuiteCRM which was exported in step 1. 5) The data which can't be exported like Reports and Workflows to be added separately. 6) Unit and System testing 7) Deploy to Production I work in a very systematic way and the same can be seen from my quality of work. You won't find me skimping on work or taking shortcuts. I can also setup and manage web servers, so if you want to deploy SuiteCRM to a cloud instance, I can setup that too. The biggest challenge while sending work online is the uncertainty about the freelancer. To make it easier for you, you don't have to pay me anything upfront. You only pay me once all the work is done and you're satisfied with my work. I think it is a good deal as you can assign the project risk free. I have over six years working with SugarCRM Professional, Community Edition and SuiteCRM. I'm familiar with the major differences and those are the key factors to the overall effort of this migration. It seems that the end-goal of this project is to provide a drop-in replacement SuiteCRM system for the existing SugarCRM Pro, and I can provide that. Prior to the official project start I would require a a review of the backup of the existing SugarCRM; this will allow me to review the existing configuration including Workflows, Reports and Studio changes and any code-level customization. Together we can develop a plan for the delta data -- i.e. changes in the database between the date of the backup and the final cutover, assuming that the team is still bringing in leads and creating and working Opportunities. In my experience the best situation is to "script" changes to the database (e.g. removal of unused fields, addition of new ones) but every situation is different. As for the web forms, little has changed in the out-of-the-box Web2Lead forms, so these would simply need to be tested and confirmed; the change to the website should be as simple as pointing the form to the new CRM system's URL.
