I have taken over a website build in PHP. It is dated and needs to be replaced, but we will get to that another time. Right now, I need help with this: The site has a calendar feature that allows users to enter information for an upcoming event and that information is put into a MySQL table. When it is created and inserted, there is an ID generated for each event. The generation of that ID happens somewhere in the code and I do not understand how it is being created. It is not a simple incremented number. I need someone to look at the code of the site and tell me how that ID is getting generated so that I can duplicate the process outside of the site.

Hi, The ID might be a random number or a combined string of the date of event and name of event. There are obviously many other possibilities. I would have to see the code for that.
