eCommerce website that will support over a million items from different warehouses

Hi, Short project description has given us understanding to have online e-commerce portal who sell the product of different warehouses. I assume it is standard E-commerce site and all products would sell by admin. There is no vendor user interface to sell products. We would like to know how many warehouse DB need to sync, is there any API would be available for it? I'll prefer to use a framework over eCommerce system because it will provide better control over program logic. Pre-made shopping carts support multi-vendor or multi store but you need multi-warehouse. It will be best to use framework for this to write logic from scratch. A pre-made eCommerce system can save some time to make catalog and shopping cart part but writing these parts in framework takes only 2-3 days so there is not a big benefit of using pre-made eCommerce system like magento, opencart etc.

Hi, This project will have unique id for each warehouse and the products will have product id which will be in sync with the warehouse id. Shipping management can be done using this id technically. Regarding technology if you want to use Magento then we would recommend Magento Enterprise Edition. However, if you leave on us to choose technology then we would recommend you to use good PHP framework or JAVA to create this. The reason of that is you love uniqueness and it is quite obvious that later you would like it to be upgraded with many new features.
