What data to export and import? Does your POS use some database? Which one? So at now there is a lot of questions. Different way to solve your task may be used depending on answers on my questions.

The Project requirement is straight forward import and export from POS system. I only have one question. - You need to extract to text file not txt file (with .txt extension) right? For import and export usually .csv (comma separated value) is the appropriate format. I am doing freelancing as an part time job to enhance my skills and learn in the process. So, I can dedicate around 4 hrs per day during the development phase. But I can assure you that we would be in constant communication through out the project.
