I need a custom wordpress plugin created with the following features: • Plugin is to be added to a website for users to validate their promo code and register for a free gift (single input field and submit button). • Plugin is a code validation plugin which allows the web admin to define a series of preset promo codes (5000+ codes to be imported via csv) • The front end user will enter their promo code in a single field on the website and click submit. • If the promo code is validated, the user is taken to a second page (of a different design) which has a form for them to add their contact details. (if code is not valid, they will be prompted as such) • The user is sent a confirmation email of their submission which includes some of their form data ({first_name} for example). • Form and code data must be able to be exported via CSV. • Weekly reporting with exported CSV file to be sent to web admin. Depending on your advisement, we can built this into a wordpress theme, or as a stand alone plugin. This has a single use so it can be customised exactly for this one website. Turn around for this project is strictly 5 days (in total). Your portfolio must include some advanced wordpress functionality and/or plugin development. Plugin developers are encouraged to bid. Designs will be provided for examples. This is a relatively simple website being built with some custom functions. Hey, I'm Alex, experienced WP developer. I've built tens of custom plugins for my previous clients, however, I can't show you those as those were created only for internal purpose of clients. Some of my recent one works like this: Visitor answers to 3 questions in a row and search engine shows results (products) related to his/her answers. Your plugin isn't very complex, I imagine it's a functionality where you can add Promo Codes as .csv, codes are stored in DB and then if your written code appears in DB, you're eligible to go further steps on the website. You asked if the functionality should be a part of the theme or a plugin - a plugin makes the most sense here. Few questions, though: - What happens with the contact details after they are submitted? Are they saved into a database? What do you use it for? I just want to know this so that I can plan accordingly. - Do you want the promo codes to ever expire? I assume that a single promo code should work only once, but what happens if the website admin imports new set of promo codes? Should the old ones still work? I will probably have some more detailed questions along the way. I am a WordPress developer with 6 years of experience building commercial and custom WordPress themes and plugins. I'm interested in your project to develop a system for your wordpress site where you can upload and export csv data into custom database tables. This data consists of promo codes which can be redeemed by visitors to your site. The site will validate the promo code (possibly disabling it after one use) and save the submitted user data (name, email, etc). Confirmation email should be sent upon successful promo code redemption. Weekly reporting could be done with a couple methods. Plugin must be delivered within 5 days hard deadline. I wrote a similar plugin which is in my previous work with feedback if you'd like to review it.
