Function 1:
- Take a string
- Split it on space
- Create associative array [key][display][tag_id] w/ one key for each word exploded out of the string
- Where the tag_id value is a lowercased, stripped version of display. (stripped of special characters that I'd like to define in a simple string list in the code, delimited. you can put it in an array after that, but my editing should be in one variable)
- Run the tag array against an array of 'special words' removing any matches from the tag array. The special words will also be editable in a simple string list, comma delimited
- insert one record per item remaining in the array into a table (details will be provided, or you can dummy it)
Function 2
- take in a string
- split out the string into an array based on comma delimiting, grouping together any words between commas
- create an associative array like [key][display][tag_id]
Where tag_id is a stripped lowercased version of display. (Display is exactly as it was submitted). (same as above for special character list)
- Check existing tags on the item (details provided) and only insert new tags, one for each remaining line in the array
