PhPStorm IDE Dbug/breakpoints Configuration - XAMPP mySql access configuratin by codeigniter

I have troubles on configuring the working environment locally using these tools: - XAMPP - mySql - Apache - Codeigniter project - PHPStorm IDE 1. the first problem concerns PHPStorm IDE: I have configured the debugger and som break points, but I don't get what I expceted. What I expect is that if I define some break point once they are reached - the execution is stopped on the breakpoint - the IDE is taken to the exact file and position of the stopping breakpoint - one inspected, the developer can skip to the next breakpoint clicking a button (never found which one) Instead what I get is that - sometimes the execution is not stopped by breakpoints - if the execution stop is because it is going step-by-step and the focus is never taken to the breakpoint line 2. I have trouble accessing the database with Codeigniter. The main credentials are username "root", password "root". The project is divided in two independent sections. When I try to access the main page of the first section on localhost I get this Severity: Warning Message: mysqli::real_connect(): (HY000/1045): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES) Filename: mysqli/[login to view URL] Apparently, the credentials are correct and the same I use to access through phpMyAdmin. For the second independent section when i try to access the main page on localhost I get Severity: Warning Message: mysqli::real_connect(): (HY000/1045): Access denied for user 'phar263d_admin'@'localhost' (using password: YES) Filename: mysqli/[login to view URL] The error is the same, but there is a second mystery on this: the user phar263d_admin does not appear in any file of the project since it has been replaced with "'root"; anyway phar263d_admin has been added to the DB with full credentials trying to find a problem workaround unsuccessfully. This is a super-fast fixing project for those who have strong experience on the PhPStom IDE and XAMP/PhP/Apache/mySQL configurations.
