System Administrator / Network Designer for a Unix based Hosting Platform The developer must possess a strong and clear ability to communicate in English both written & verbally. Freelancer must be proficient and an expert in setting up and configuring HIGHLY SECURE Dedicated Servers with some knowledge of WHMCS ([login to view URL]). PLEASE DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS JOB IF YOU ARE NOT!!!! Provide proof of works.... JOB IS READY TO BE AWARDED WITHIN TWO DAYS! We are setting up a Hosting platform using two servers but expandable to unlimited servers with the below specs: 2 x HOST-64L - 64G Xeon D-1520 Server 4/8t 2,2 / 2,6 GHz 64 GB of RAM DDR4 ECC 2133 MHz 2x2TB + 2x300GB SSD [login to view URL] We are looking for a suitably qualified and competent person or company to design and setup/configure the network for the hosting platform using the TWO Servers above which are hosted at OVH.com. The solution offered must be capable of generating: 1. Shared hosting packages in Linux and windows 2. VPS server packages in Linux and windows. 3. With the ability to expand our service offerings to include Dedicated & Cloud Servers. We will be using WHMCS as the Web Hosting Billing & Automation Platform. Security & Maintenance is of the utmost importance and as such the solution offered must include clearly defined solutions to address: a. The HIGHEST LEVEL OF SECURITY to protect against - Virus, Malware, Hack and Spoofing attacks, etc. b. The installation of SSL certificates which we already own c. Backups d. A Production and Development Site for WHMCS & our Websites VMware & Proxmox are two of the solutions we have considered, but you may suggest others. cPanel & WHM is our control panel of choice under Unix hosts. Your submission MUST include: • A detail Network diagram showing all hardware and software solutions you intend to use. • Your storage allocations and backup solution. • The interactions of your Containers and or VMs with each other and the Backup solution. The possibility exist that we may want to offer the successful candidate a monthly/yearly agreement for the maintenance/troubleshooting of the network. If you are amenable to this please let us know. Not willing to enter into a maintenance/troubleshooting agreement with us does NOT influence our decision in awarding the project. The Job is to be awarded within 2 days provided the candidates provides us with the information requested above at minimum.

Hello there, I would go with proxmox since its free and you will have no costs for licenses. If you chose vmware, then you need licenses for the servers, also for the vcenter and so on. I recommend you use CentOS 6.7 x86_64 minimal install in order to have cPanel/WHM installed. Then you need a CloudLinux license for each of your hosting servers. For the DNS you should use the DNS Cluster function in cPanel/WHM so basically you need at least 2 DNS servers in different locations (they can be some basic VPS machines with small configuration like 1 cpu core and 1 gb ram memory, 15 gb disk space). Of coure you can use your own virtual machines in your own infrastructure but is good to have the dns servers both locally and remotely. For server security you will need: - a decent firewall which is free - a realtime malware scanner (two options here: one free but limited, another one commercial, the license is 60$/server (one time fee)). - for email (spam filter/virus scanner); you can use MailScanner and I would recommend to buy the MailScanner frontend plugin fro WHM (it will help you manage your server and also your cpanel users will be able to modify whitelist/blacklist rules for their accounts/domains and so on). Backups are best handled using R1Soft Restore Backups (7,5$ for each virtual machine/server) and you will need a main backup server (either virtual or dedicated) with enough storage to keep backups (10-14 days of backups). As for Windows hosting -> Plesk

It will be better use one server for Cpanel Hosting (linux), other for Windows Hosting (Plesk). If you need to provide VPS hosting, better have one more server.
