Youtube player API

My website currently embeds Youtube videos using the normal embed code. Youtube sometimes generates errors when trying to load the embedded video. I wish to create some PHP code that uses the Youtube player API to load the video and play it. If it tries to load the video but gets an error instead, then return that error like this... // try to load Youtube video if load is successful { display video player here } else { error }
