Current account imbalances and the Euro Area crisis

The objective is to make a critical assessment of the Euro Area crisis focusing on a particular aspect. In example, the focus could be:  Role of external versus internal debt  Role of public versus private debt  Institutional framework of fiscal and monetary policy. Give guidance on how your arguments will unfold and generally how you plan to structure your overall piece of work.  In the sections following your introduction, analyse you arguments clearly and try to keep a logical sequence. Do not be afraid to use your own examples in order to enhance a specific argument. If you have to use equations, always explain the relevant variables at first usage.  Conclusion: Give a brief summary of your paper. Say what exactly you analysed and highlight the most important aspects. Comment on any issues that you feel deserve further exploration.  Always provide bibliography references.  Keep the word limit. This assignment should not exceed 4000 words. Pay attention to style and layout. Use word or latex processing and 1.5 line-spacing with a 12 point font.
