This project will be awarded to at least 5 people. YOU MUST HAVE WIN XP/7 32 BIT ONLY! NOT 64 BIT!!! To find statistics on API usage of various programs, we want to record the log of all API calls being made from these programs on a standard user usage. To perform this API recording you’ll need to install a program called “nttrace”, which is supplied by us. An example: [login to view URL] -pid -tid -time c:\Windows\System32\[login to view URL] > [login to view URL] The above example, when executed from windows command line, executes the windows calculator and records all of the API calls that were made by it to the file “[login to view URL]”. We need you to do the same while working on doing some typical work of 10 minutes on the following software: 1. Microsoft Word 2. Windows Notepad 3. Internet Explorer 4. Google Chrome 5. Microsoft Paint 6. 10 more other programs that you usually use and are not listed above. E.g. firefox, a game etc. Typical work on these software means, opening and saving data, editing files, browsing, etc... (like a normal user would do). All we need are the log files that were created from nttrace, which you need to send back to me as a zip file. The zip file should contain 15 files that were generated by nttrace for each application. You will not be awarded if you didn't work on each application for at least 10 minutes, *not just open it and close it after a while*...
