I was a network administrator for the U.S. Government as well as several private companies. I can deploy in your R&D a Windows Server DC/AD and Exchange Server In less than a day, Actually hours. Technically could be ran on one server with virtualization. Would just need some form of remote access to the client machine or the details to the remote access services running on the backend of the server you want it running on.
