I have a 3DS max scene that is arranged form an FBX import. I need this scene re-materialized using high quality V-Ray materials as found in Evermotion package or at [login to view URL] or similar. High quality is [login to view URL] do scene setup and rendering in-house, but we are looking for a new outsoursing partner for our team, so if we are satisfied with quality, then we have plenty of more work [login to view URL] concider that imported FBX will be updated and re-linked later, so it is important that you keep all existing materials in scene and modify these to V-Ray. We do this by changing existing material to an "Multi Sub material" and then adding "edit mesh modifier" to the objects. Then we add prefered new V-Ray materials to the differnt SubMaterial slots in this MultiSub Object setup. (You may need to modify mesh IDs using the Edit Mesh modifier to get correct new V-Ray material to appear on correct [login to view URL] complete re-materializing using this method, we then will be able to reimport the updated FBX file and ALSO keeping all new 3DS Max materials in [login to view URL] method is used to be able to arrange 3DS Max render and material setup eaven before the model is finished in Revit by our [login to view URL] use 3DS Max 2015 and V-Ray 2015.
