Background: ( I have terminal cancer with maybe just a few weeks left, and hoping to see the New Year) Sketch Outline: Comedy audio tape sketch script to be played at the crematorium for my funeral. Audio Approx 10 - 12 minutes duration with (perhaps) my voice and one actor. IDEA:. 1 Me speaking to a crematorium Supervisor for advice about a 'Do it yourself funeral' with my suggestions to him of snippits of ( inappropriate) funeral music being frowned upon by funeral Staff. ( 'I hear you knocking - Dave Edmunds', 'living in box' 'Fire' Crazy world of Arthur Brown, 'Baby you can light my Fire - Doors' etc etc (or any other song sample you can think of ) together with general banter between a Crematorium Supervisor and impending client of a man trying to organise his own funeral. Idea 2 ( or combination of 1 an 2) Me speaking to the congregation from the coffin. Life experiences, ( not necessarily real life ) funeral jokes etc.

Hi ! I would not discourage your spirit by saying sorry after having come to know about your disease. I appreciate your courage. I normally don't bid in this way. I have an idea , that, Instead of writing, you may think of illustrating this idea into comics. What do you say? If you wish so, I will draw amazing and humourous comics to bring your idea into existence. I shall give you my best efforts.

Hiya, I read through your job listing for a comedy writer for your funeral, and i'd like to put my name forward. I'm a voice actor by trade but i have a long history of comedy writing as a hobby, and irreverent humour is my go-to. I'm permanently disabled and like a lot of people in my position i've got a dark, sharp sense of humour - one well suited to suggesting "burn baby burn" as a funerial song... i've also lost family and friends to serious illness so i know how these kinds of things go. I'm currently working on a guiness world record comedy attempt, so if you'd like to get a feel for my style of comedy i can send you a couple of the five minute sets i've written for that project. As a voice actor i'm also more than equipped to record the crematorium supervisor part, if you're okay with that role being female. I have a recording booth, Tonor-TC777 microphone and Audacity editing software which i use for VO work, and i'm more than happy to put all of those to work for you. Your project sounds really different and i'd be honoured to help you craft a send off that actually reflects *you*, instead of the run-of-the-mill stuff.
