I can also create interface so that you can connect nodemcu with any wifi router without hard coded ssid/password, that will enable you to use nodemcu on same network instead of connecting to other AP for accessing it. I have already worked with the NodeMCU(ESP8266) with the Arduino IDE to develop a maze solver rover which was guided by a laser controlled by the NodeMCU and have also looked at your code and word file and find myself suitable for the same.
