The aim of this project is to adapt the existing (open-source) Arduino GSM library for a different modem board. The system is Arduino-compatible, based on Atmega644P (aka Sanguino). Function to be implemented are: - SMS messaging - CSD/GPRS dialup - HTTP requests - FTP transfer All of these features are already available using the modem's AT commands. The developer should be able to provide full documentation in English, as well as code examples. The source code shall also be delivered under an open-source licence. The first version of the library should be available no later than 3 weeks from the project award and delivery of a development board by us. Need Linux guru that has experience with configuring commandline dialup scripts for modems that are connected through RS232 or USB with Linux machine. We need commandline application or script that will make dialup connection to Internet provider to establish internet connection and perform every few minutes pings to some IP address to check the connection. We need to connect to a remote/host computer via broadband with gotomypc. Then on the remote/host computer establish a dialup internet connection at the same time. We need every application (or at least internet explorer) to use the dialup connection, EXCEPT for gotomypc which needs to still use the broadband connection. We can do all that now except when we establish the dialup connection it takes over all applications including gotomypc. We would prefer to do this on an XP machine but if we absolutely have to we can go with windows 7. I haven't been able to find too much about doing this by searching online but I think it would not be all that complicated.

I currently have a Freeside server that works great -- that I use to manage my dialup accounts. I want it modified to add extensions (which are Residential accounts) to an existing Trixbox Server. Currently the Freeside server has a script that is ran - that adds the dialup customer to the radius database and then it externally connects to the cPanel server to add the email account.
