Desktop Bookmarking

This bid request requires someone who is knowledgeable with how wordpress admin code works, this is not a plugin for wordpress but some features used in the wordpress admin section, are the same functions we want in our desktop software. We need a desktop application that does the following. A desktop application that boots up when icon is clicked on. The first thing you will need to put in is a password. The application allows you to create categories for different topics , as an example I would create a category for Cooking. Then when you click on the cooking category it goes to a subdirectory of all my cooking related ebooks - membership sites or websites related to cooking. It's Like a graphical gloryfied bookmark system. ## Deliverables Preferences screen: All Artwork will be done by our own design company and will communicate with the programmer to merge both graphics and coding together. We have an 8 page screen shot of how the desktop software functions and looks allready done, for viewing. These ADD functions below that can be seen in a mock up demo graphics are used in Wordpress Blogs admin section ADD EBOOK When I click the ADD EBOOK button I could create a hyper link and description and graphic icon for a pdf on my hardrive, which is about cooking, I would then also choose which category this ebook would be saved in which from the above scenario would be cooking so when the icon is pressed the ebook would open up in adobe acrobat. ADD WEBSITE When I click the ADD WEBSITE button I could create a hyper link and description and graphic icon which would click through to a website, which is about cooking, I would then also choose which category this website would be saved in which from the above scenario would be cooking so when the icon is pressed the website would open up in a browser. ADD MEMBERSHIP WEBSITE When I click the ADD MEMBERSHIP WEBSITE button I could create a hyper link and description plus enter my Username and Password and graphic icon which would click through to the membership website, I would then also choose which category this membership website would be saved in which from the above scenario would be cooking so when the icon is pressed the membership website would open up in a browser and log me in automatically. ADD RSS FEED When I click the ADD RSS FEED button I could create a hyper link and description for an RSS feed, we would like it to display an RSS Feed 1 per catergory page. So when you ADD an RSS FEED it will ask which category to save it in. ADD SOCIAL NETWORK As can be seen by the control panel we want a maximum of 12 Social Network icons displayed on the control panel below the menu system, when you add your Social Network URL - Username and Password you choose the correct icon to be displayed. Then when you click on Social Network icon below menu it will open your Social Network account in a browser. SEARCH FOR NEW EBOOKS In this section we need the search results to pull from amazon or clickbank based on keywords entered, which could goto the main website for say amazon or clickbank, which will also contain our amazon or clickbank affiliate link. ADVERTISING BANNER AND TEXT In this section we need the Banner Ad and text to be pulled from a web page we load on our server so some coding from the control panel on the customers desktop computer APP pulls this page of our server to show the Ad etc we want to display in there control panel. ADD IMAGE For each bookmark that is created an icon is also created and added, this is done by first going to the website or image and then pressing the PRINT SCREEN function key on the keyboard, then you press the paste button in the ADD IMAGE control panel and crop the picture which is the same process that is used in a free program called picassa. Our croped version will need to be a rounded edge square like in the demo graphic MORE THAN ONE PAGE PER CATEGORY OR BOOKMARK The more categories you add or bookmarks you add it creates pages so you can scroll left or right to see more of your categories or bookmarks you have. TITLE AT TOP OF CONTROL PANEL This title will display what category you are in. BACKING UP USERS DATA We will need it to write to a password protected folder all saved data that is put in by user, so they can back up all there saved data, by just copying this folder say every week to an external storage system. So if any thing happens they can re install the control panel and add the folder to a directory where the control panel is installed and be up and running again once they put there password back in.
