Historic Berlin offers visitors a lot
Today’s city of Berlin is not the same as the city that was split into two separate parts (East Berlin and West Berlin) when Germany itself was divided into East Germany and West Germany back in 1961. This historic city is not only Germany’s Capital city, but it is also one of the Sixteen (16) states that make up the country of Germany as a whole. You can find Berlin in the North-Eastern part of the country at the very heart of Germany’s Berlin-Brandenburg area. This small city (well it is actually anything but small) and its residents have been through a great deal of ups and downs and turmoil in terms of different leaders and being under different leadership since it was first written about during the Thirteenth (13th) Century.
