I would like a C#.NET or VB.NET Windows application built using the Microsoft UI Automation Framework. This application will have the ability to import/copy ALL the contents of a grid (which resides in a third party application) into a grid which resides in the new .NET application. All columns and rows from the third party application must be imported (including column headers and any hidden columns). What I know about the third party application : - It was developed in VB 6.0 - The grid is of type MSFlexGrid - The grid is scrollable - The grid contains "hidden" columns. ie the column width is zero length - I do NOT have access to the source code of the third party application I have produced a very simple mock up of the third party application with which you can test with. This test application shows a grid which is scrollable and contains "hidden" columns. There are actually more than 8 columns in this grid which need to be imported. ## Deliverables - Complete and fully-functional .NET Windows Form application. This application can simply contain a .NET grid control and an import button. - FULL source code of .NET application are to be included. - FULL setup instructions must be provided. - .NET 3.5 or greater must be used NOTE - Simply getting the API hook/handle of the VB6 MSFlexGrid control will not provide you with access to any of the data within the MSFlexGrid control. If you have the necessary skills and are interested in this project then please let me know and I will send you the VB6 test application I designed which contains the MsFlexGrid Control with sample test data. I will require applicants to provide me with a working demo of the .NET application before I commit to any project work. Thankyou!

Hi, my name is Angelo, I'm a 10+ years experienced software developer. As you may have found MSFlexGrid is a rather fussy control and I'm not sure Microsoft UI Automation Framework can actually inspect it successfully, quite the opposite I'd say... In your project you ask for a .NET application. Fine. But would it be fine to provide a .NET application (just the GUI) that relies on a native (unmanaged) C++ component (dll) to do the dirty job? The dirty job being the injection of the C++ code into the VB6 process to gather all the relevant data. If this is a suitable solution for you I'd give it a go and provide you with a demo app by tomorrow (AUS time). What do you think? Thanks, Angelo.
