C# and tSQL developer required.

We have a database on Azure in SQL Server. It is a hierarchical relational database based on two tables that uses Unique ID keys between parents and child, so a modern individual (in our case a racehorse) will have its parents, grandparents, and so on through to 10-12 generations of its ancestry. We require some processes that will allow us to create calculations on these relationships and the family pedigrees. Most of these calculations already have some source code, but it is in Fortran or Python. I am unsure if it is best to rewrite this code for computational efficiency, or create C#/tSQL bindings to the code and use that. A freelancer with good knowledge of FORTRAN would be preferred.
