I need a bare bones implementation of an UDP client and a server. The client will send a short, single line request and the server will answer up to some 10 lines. Make sure that the server is solid and handles situations such disconnecting from a client after a time-out. I will add the specific real-life functionality, you should provide just some demo client query and answer by the server.

Thanks to all of you for answering my request, and to those who correctly pointed out that UDP is not connection oriented.
I have to clarify: what I wanted to say is that even though this _looks_ like a homework server, it is not a homework server. I will add the core functionality and the server will by used by several clients which may or may not respect the rules.
You need to add checks like making sure that the client request doesn't exceed a given length or that the request doesn't have binary data inside.
In short: I need a strong server, not a wimpy one.
## Platform
C/C++ TCP/IP Unix Linux Windows You have to implement the client in Unix and in Windows. The server will run in Unix only. The code should be as standard and portable as possible.
