I am in need of a skilled automation expert. This project is aimed at creating a PLC function block that predicts the optimal dosing setpoints of polymers in an STP plant utilizing model predictive control. This is expected to result in: - Improvement in the dosing efficiency of polymers - Reduced expenditure on polymer usage - Optimization of the polymer dosing process For the model predictive control, various types of data are available including: - Historical sensor data - Real-time sensor data - Process parameters These datasets should enable the effective modeling and prediction of optimum dosing setpoints. Additionally, it is expected that the dosing setpoint will be updated hourly for improved accuracy and performance. Ideal candidates should have experience in automation and control engineering, proficiency in PLC programming, and a strong understanding of STP plant processes. Ability to analyze sensor data and apply advanced predictive modeling techniques is also crucial. Your understanding and craftsmanship will be pivotal in achieving reduced costs and improved efficiency.

We have several STP (assuming Sewage Treatment Plant) automation done for various industrial, municipalities and cities. Have also applied DTs, models with them. Done this with different PLCs and also embedded systems. Can run the models in some PLCs and also outside, as we have drivers for models and DTs. The dosing algorithms will need some development with some interaction with your domain experts. Can use the time-series data you have along with the other parameters and feed it to the models, DTs etc. A system architecture will need to be developed (if one does not exist already) with your team, before making the future steps of the action plan.
