I want a macro in microsoft word, activated when I right click a certain text, an option in the right click to lookup the database and insert the matching contents of the database beside it. I have the xlxs file to be used for the database.

Hi! I am a software developer with experience in this kind of projects with VBA in Word and Excel. I already have a code that can suit to your request. This code can find the selected word in the Excel file. I would suggest you to select the words in case there are more than 1 word to look for in the Excel file, otherwise, (1 word), right-clicking on it would be enough. Let me know your thoughts.

Hi, Is it possible to show with an example what you intend to achieve, I mean how the database needs to be shown and the criteria to be used to pull the data from the database. I am well versed with writing macros in Excel, Word etc.. I have used written macros extensively for Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint etc. for automation of various tasks.
