I come from the technology sector. I have proficiency in business analytics. First the labelled (training) data needs to be modelled (descriptive statistics) and the model parameters need to be trained. Then the model needs to be used against new (test) data to predict the outcome. Depending on the prediction score, the model can be updated and the training algorithm can be modified.
