Monitor log file for new content

I need a windows service which can monitor the XML log files from the Trillian IM 3. The application should monitor multiple log files and create a new application object? once a log contains new message entries of the type: ? message type="incoming_privateMessage" ? The application object should contain: 1)? ? ? ? ? Date & time of the message 2)? ? ? ? ? from 3)? ? ? ? ? message text ? ? Once a new message in the log has been detected, a message box should appear for 5 seconds and display the object content. ? The windows service has to monitor the content of the logs in near realtime (max 10 seconds lag). ? The windows service has to read all log paths from a .config file. ? The windows service was to be written in vb.net 2.0 ?
